![]() If I was removing the side view mirror, I would remove the foam sound cover and unscrew the three nuts (red arrows) attaching the mirror to the metal door frame. I used a small screwdriver and pried up the clip on the connector. That's when I found out that a wire harness was mounted to the plastic door panel.įirst I disconnected the wire connection to the side view mirror. ![]() I lifted up and pulled the plastic panel from the door. There is a generic replacement clip, which I will show later in this article. I found this to be difficult and some of the clips broke. ![]() Then I pried the plastic door panel from the metal door shell. I located a Phillips screw at the bottom of the inside door pull handle and removed the screw. Then I removed the screw from behind the door lever. Using a Phillips screwdriver, I removed the screw. With a small screwdriver I removed the fastener cover. To remove the door panel, I started at the top of the door panel at the side view mirror area.
